Brats, Beer & Wiener Dogs: Highlights from Cullman's 2025 Oktoberfest

Cullman's annual Oktoberfest celebration once again transformed downtown and Depot Park into a vibrant slice of Germany, celebrating the city's rich heritage with food, music and fun for all ages.

The festival kicked off Thursday, Oct. 2, with lively accordion music, authentic German brews in multiple beer gardens and a bustling marketplace full of artisan crafts and local vendors. This year's event featured the largest-ever Kids Zone with carnival rides and a double-decker carousel, plus the new Wuffenplatz- a dedicated play area for four-legged festival-goers.

Crowd-favorite events returned, including the stein hoisting and brat-eating competitions. The weekend was highlighted by the beloved Oktoberfest wiener dog races, bringing cheers and laughter from the huge crowds. The festivities also included the crowning of the 2025 Miss Oktoberfest and a charity 5K/10K race supporting the Cullman Area Mental Health Foundation.
